my cup RUNneth over

So this is week 2 of me seriously working out. I run, yes; I said I RUN! I walk mostly then when a commerical comes on I run until the program comes back on or until I can no longer stand it! So instead a picture of my tired ugly feet I could only find a picture of my sweet angels! I hope to keep this running stuff up-so keep me in your prayers that I can follow through :)

Loose Tooth

Maddy came to me this morning and said " MOM-LOOK AT MY TOOTH!" I was thinking okay we just watched the tooth fairy movie a few days ago so she's just saying it's loose. WRONG!!!! My baby's first tooth is loose! She also said "Mom is The Rock going to come to the house and take my tooth?" I said honey if that were the case I would of knocked out all of my teeth A LONG TIME AGO! Ah..... gotta love growing up! :)

Is he truly out there?

Seriously! THIS IS ME!!! Yeah I know look at where I live and yeah there is NO ONE that I could seriously SERIOUSLY date. Yes I have "friends" but the magic is just not there. Am I doomed to be alone for all eternity? UH... I sure hope not but just keep me in your prayers! Maybe Heavenly Father is still working on him (a.k.a: the refiner's fire)

Things we've been up to!

Well... since it's been a while since my last post I'll try to catch you up. Maddy is getting ready to go into kindergarten :( BUT is so very excited! This week she has been gone to my sister's house and enjoying the time there very much. What have I done w/o her? NOTHING! except mope and whine about not having her here with me - I miss my little "Copper" so darn much! However w/ that being said - I am going to have a girl's day tomorrow w/ one of my best friends Mandi! We have been wanting to plan one forever and ever and just got the green light and we are excited! We've never been on a "Grown-Up" Girl's Day (Mandi or I). So... all I can say is watch out Springfield here comes frick and frack! LOL BTW... as far as my social life goes :P (this is me sticking out my tongue) it's there ;) A great friend took me out to dinner and a movie and it was really a great time. I hope that this has caught you up now :) Hope all is well w/ you and all will be well with me as soon as Miss. M gets home :) oh and the half hour message tomorrow :)

Good Brownies and Birthdays

Ah.... brownies what can you say about them? I found a great recipe that is actually good for you and not bad tasting either! All you do is take one can of black beans (puree them in your blender) then add the pureed black beans to a bagged brownie mix and cook as directed on package! Nothing to it! I used an off brand of black beans and an Always Save brand of brownie mix. OOH Maddy just loved them! So I think I'll make an extra batch to have on my birthday this weekend w/ Maddy.

We are planning to stay in a hotel in Branson for one night (check in-then go to SDC for a few hours). Then come back from SDC and go swimming-as if we wont get enough water from the rides at SDC & rest up. The 5th my actual birthday we are doing an all day trek at SDC! So be prepared to see us sunburned and cranky on Sunday morning at church-LOL!

Growing Pains

Today is a happy but somewhat sad day. My little nephew (little YEAH RIGHT at 6 ft. 8 in). He took his drivers test today and that is just one more step toward more freedom and growing up

:( I can still remember when I changed his diaper for the first time, helped him ride his bike, you know all the mushy stuff! He's a good young man and I know he will do great things in the future. I am proud of him and love him sooooooooo much!

Snow days and frayed nerves!

This is the 3rd day of snow ICK! I fully realize that my daughter loves it and in a some small way so do I BUT enough is enough!

Tomorrow's agenda: Breakfast, put on snow clothes, come in for some hot cocoa, go back out and play some more!

Oh my the fun but ENOUGH OF THE FLIPPN SNOW!!!!

Merry Christmas

Well Christmas has come and gone... NOW to tell the funnies Madison and I've been up to.

Well Maddy had a wonderful Christmas and I enjoyed watching her open her presents. I've been trying to teach her the true meaning of Christmas. We were talking the other day on how a lot of children do not have the basic necessities of life (Shelter, Food, Clothing) Maddy so sweetly said "NO TOYS!". She went to her room and got some of her dolls and said "Mom here give them to those kids." I was so happy she kind of grasps the concept. We were talking about other children who are sick and in the hospital and who cannot be with family during the holidays. She said "like your friend with no hair?". I said "yes honey", she said something and I said "You know Madison that you and I can grow our hair out and give some of it to those sick kids." She said "GROSS MOM" I knew what she was thinking and I assured her she would keep her scalp and a majority of her hair. She was on board after the reassuring talk! SO Madison and I are trying to let our hair grow out for the Lock of Love program. If you see Maddy tell her how nice it was of her to make such a big girl decision! I appreciate the encouraging help!

Sleepless Nights and sinus infections

Here I am sitting in the floor of my Sisters home in Arkansas at 3:30 in the morning w/ a sinus headache from HECK!!! This just has to be the worst headache I've ever had!!! The right side of my head (from my right facial cheek to above my right eyebrow) is totally throbbing and is putting a major cramp in my much needed sleep!!! Today I will be venturing out with my sister and her children for a "girls" weekend. I pray that this will be gone soon if not I am not for sure that I'll be up to much fun at all! WHICH TOTALLY SUCKS!!! I've been waiting for this weekend for quite sometime and if this dad-gum sinus headache will not go away I'M GONNA THROW A FIT!!!

Life

Why does it seem like when your feeling down. Your friends life's seem so much better? Don't get me wrong here I know that I'm blessed. I have a HEALTHY, VIBRANT, BEAUTIFUL daughter. I've finally graduated college, um... what else is there to say? I just hope I can get a job so that I can better my daughters life as well as mine. It just seems that everyone else's lifes are going just swimmingly. A lot of my friends are going on exciting adventures like going to NYC, going to Disneyworld, getting married, having children or getting prepaired to do the last 3! Maybe it's the green eyed monster rearing it's ugly head? GOSH I HOPE NOT! I just am feeling like I'm all alone and I'm not doing as good of a job as I should! OH JUST SHUT UP TANYA AND PULL UP THOSE BIG GIRL GARMENTS!!! Whew ~ sorry all it's a downer blog today:( I hope my attitude will be better soon!!!

SINGLE LIFE WOES!!!

Why in the world does being single have to suck at times? Why do I let my subconscious affect me with this AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Anyone know of a GREAT single man with morals?

St. Louis Zoo

Madison did not know that we were going to the Zoo so it was a suprize for her to say the least! She was soooooooo excited to see all of the animals. When we arrived at the elephant exhibit Madison squealed w/ excitement and said MAMA!!!!!! THERE IS DUMBO AND HIS MUDDER!! It was too cute, she said hello to every animal even the crocodile. We went to the primate house and then we went to the penguins and in the penguins house as soon as we step foot inside she said WHO FARTED! IT STINKS IN HERE!!! Oh was my face red and I was so ready to get out of there!!! I got a picture of her infront of the girrafe exhibt b/c she had on a dress with a giraffe in the pocket and it looked so cute on her! Too bad you cannot see it =( Oh well she had a great time that is all that matters!

Graduation, feelings of desperation or both?

As my educational journey draws to a close (even though my Master's degree is looking better everyday!!!) I am pondering..... I'm going to be that statistic as soon as I accept my diploma on saturday! I'm going to be an educated unemployed person!!! I swear I've filled out so many applications, gone two states away for interviews and everything short of filling out an application at Hooter's! My daughter deserves such more; meaning a better life than she has now. I feel that by being educated is wonderful, I've openend many windows by achieveing this goal FINALLY. However I'm anxious to get a good job! I swear the waiting and anticipation is going to stress me out!!! So if anyone knows of job openings ANYWHERE! Please notify me A.S.A.P :D

Be ye thankful

My dear friend has just lost her baby and I feel for her. I love her and her special family with all my heart. They are like family to me, their other children are the best playmates that another parent could ask for. This quote I think fits this situation very well. "There is no footprint so small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world." Please keep this family in your prayers.

Bowling with a 3 year old- A test of patience!!!

I tell you what Madison loves to throw-YES throw not roll the ball-EEK! Thank goodness a majority of the time it went in the correct direction! Tonight we went to quarter bowl and she had so much fun. She wanted to do everything by herself, from selecting her ball (from the kiddo selection) to actually bowling by herself!! I never knew how uptight league bowlers can be, we were in a lane adjacent to theirs and it was obvious that we shared the ball holder thing. I asked if it would get by and put my ball along w/ Maddy's on the rack with theirs. This lady came back with "WE ARE LEAGUE BOWLERS AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR YOUR BALLS WITH OURS!" Needless to say there were only 3 of them in the other lane-YIKES !! My friend Bev from way back (who was in the furthest lane) was in the league and just rolled her eyes at the lady and came and told me she was a real piece of work... Thank goodness I kept my tongue in my mouth and my hands on my ball =I Thank Heavenly Father for that one b/c normally I would have given that ol' coot a piece of my mind. Growing up does people good OBVIOUSLY NOT THAT HEFFA-LOL!!! Lessons in humility and understanding are everywhere =)

God's most precious gift!!

Amazing how much MY Madison looks like Melissa Von Allmen(who is in the b/w photo). I know MY Madison is the most adorable, precious & smartest 3 year old on the planet!!
